Hydronic system for refrigeration units

Commercial and industrial refrigeration systems are composed of the main unit – the chiller – and the hydronic system.
The chiller employs a vapour compression refrigeration circuit to cool the water which is used by the hydronic circuit to refrigerate the application.
The water is driven around the circuit by centrifugal pumps, often housed inside the chiller itself.
EBARA’s DWC AISI 304 steel pump is used in hydronic systems offered by the leading manufacturers of air conditioning and refrigeration solutions.

The pump body is manufactured using EBARA’s patented hydroforming process, which makes it possible to obtain heavy duty steel parts without welding.
This completely solves the problem of axial deformation due to the weight of the valves and pipes bearing on the pump’s delivery.
Each product in the range has a large flow rate, a critical consideration in the design of chillers since it enables the designer to exploit the flow rating of a single model of pump to the utmost, thus standardising components and spare parts.
Furthermore, the DWC electric pumps are supplied with Victaulic suction and delivery ports as standard supply: this connection solution allows for quick and easy assembly/removal, while guaranteeing a perfectly tight seal.
The insulating shell covering the pump and its fittings prevents condensation forming as a result of the wide temperature variation to which the refrigerant is subject.
